Guided Hike Of Noccalula Gorge

Guided Tour Of Gorge Trail

Quick Details

Noccalula Falls now offers guided hikes around the Noccalula Gorge! Come join us Saturday Mornings for the ultimate gorge experience. A knowledgeable journey filled with fun facts and a challenging hike through our park’s most beautiful area.

Walk behind Noccalula Falls and get up close with Black Creek. Experience the marvel of a 90 foot waterfall from every angle and feel the power of the falling water.

Listen as the guide tells the story of Noccalula, a Cherokee Native American Princess for which the falls is named.

The tour begins at the Gorge Trail entrance near our Animal Habitat and makes a 1.7 mile loop around the gorge. You will even cross over a suspension bridge that spans the width of Black Creek before returning to the starting point.

Hikes begin promptly at 10:00 am every Saturday during our normal park season (March through October), weather permitting.

Dress appropriately for the current weather conditions and remember to wear footwear suitable for rocky terrain.  On those hot days you will also want to bring liquids to keep yourself hydrated.

Once your hike is done, head back to the Park Gift Shop and purchase an “I Survived The Gorge” shirt to show off to all of your friends!
